Terms and Conditions

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: These are the terms & conditions of the agreement between us, Prepaid Financial Services Ltd, Fourth Floor, 35 Great St Helen's, London, EC3A 6AP and you, the Customer entering into this agreement. Please read this Agreement carefully before commencing use of the service. This agreement is in conjunction with your Prepaid Financial Services Prepaid Mastercard® Terms & Conditions.

  1. Using Google Pay with your PFS Prepaid Mastercard Card

    Google Pay allows you to make purchases using your PFS card with a compatible mobile device.

  2. Terms and Conditions

    1. When using Google Pay, all agreements, terms and conditions between you and us will continue to apply in the usual way. Transactions you make using Google Pay are governed by your PFS card’s terms & conditions, as well as any terms of use relating to Google Pay which you may agree to with Google. Your use of Google Pay does not form part of any prepaid card agreement you may have with us.

    2. Google Pay is provided by Google and we are not responsible to you for your use of it or for any service, information, software or hardware provided to you by Google or any other third party. We are not liable for any failures or faults, or any security, availability or performance issues, affecting or relating to Google Pay or your device. We recommend that you read Google’s Google Pay Terms of Service for more information on these issues.
    3. You may also have agreements with other third parties in relation to your use of Garmin Pay such as other current account providers or card issuers. We are not responsible for any agreements you enter into with these third parties.

  3. Eligibility, Limits and Restrictions

    In order to use Google Pay you must use an eligible card and meet all the other eligibility requirements. The following programs are eligible: PFS Sterling, PFS Euro, PFS USD, PFS ZAR, PFS AUD, PFS Business EUR, PFS Business GBP, PFS Rewards Card GBP and PFS Rewards Card EUR. Please refer to your card’s terms & conditions for more information on what payment limits or other restrictions apply to your use of Google Pay.

  4. Protection and Security

    Your card’s terms and conditions set out certain steps you must take to keep your account and card details secure. They also apply to the use of your card with Google Pay. Please also pay attention to the following security guidelines when using Google Pay:

    1. Any person with your device passcode will be able to authorize transactions using your card.

    2. Do not leave the device you use to access Google Pay unattended.

    3. Use appropriate security on your devices, such as passcodes, passwords, fingerprint recognition and other unlock methods.

    5. Keep your log in details, such as user ID, passwords, passcodes and any other means you have of accessing your devices or the information stored on them confidential.

    6. Use Google Pay in accordance with all terms and conditions notified to you.

    7. Delete all your personal and financial information from your old device if you stop using it, for example, if you get a replacement device.

  5. How to stop it?
    1. Select ‘remove card’ in the Google Pay app.

    2. Call our Customer Services team to delete your card in Google Pay. The Customer Service contact details can be found in your Cardholder Portal.

    3. You can remove the payment method in your Google Payments account or your Google account.

  6. If your device is lost or stolen

    If you suspect any unauthorised use of your device, or if your device or security details have been compromised, lost or stolen, please contact us immediately. We can suspend or remove your card from Google Pay to prevent further unauthorised use.

  7. Does it cost anything?

    We don’t charge you when you use Google Pay.

  8. Using your information
    1. Refer to PFS’s privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.

    2. Google may access and process your information, including information about your transactions.

    3. We and Google share certain personal information with each other for a number of reasons, including to improve our and its service, to verify information and to prevent fraud.
